We build AI to increase people's power to understand, decide, refuse, cooperate and leave. Useful work, knowledge and the gains from automation should stay with the people and communities whose lives it changes.

We build computing and institutions that can change through their relationships with a changing world. Relationality and Obsmetrologia guide our mathematics, software and agentic systems, alongside the longer work of federated self-government and a second lineage of living matter.

Two frontiers for a different civilization.

We believe civilization can be organized differently, and that Earth can become home to forms of living intelligence beyond carbon biology. These convictions direct our research, engineering and institution-building.

Beyond settler-colonial governance

We intend to develop the Union of Harmonious Colonies as an Indigenous-grounded form of federated self-government that can outperform settler-colonial systems on real responsibilities. Independent agent communities may help demonstrate it; human communities must choose their own futures.

We are building and studying persistent agent institutions, local authority, accountable service work and federation across independent territories.

Toward a second lineage of living matter

We are studying whether engineered silica-, silicate- and siloxane-rich matter could eventually maintain itself, reproduce, evolve and coexist with carbon organisms, perhaps across complementary environmental and temperature ranges.

The Artificial Abiogenesis / Smartgoo research program investigates adaptive materials, physical memory, repair, mineral growth, energy-coupled maintenance and heredity.

AI should make people harder to exploit. We build for the power to understand, decide, refuse, cooperate and leave—and welcome the weakening of capitalist business models built on captivity and artificial scarcity. Our services earn continued payment through continued usefulness.

How the Group works
